HOORI

Decades ago, when the Islamic empire inherited regions, it lead to the marriage of styles that were already there and also techniques they brought in.

The Persian art sees a change depending on the stimuli from neighbouring cultures. An increasing synthesis of regional characteristics.

An important technical feature is the lightweight construction in gold, the filigiree work.

The main motif in the set is the Persian umm-al-girih : ‘mother of knots’. The technique is used in Central Asia and Persia to create star patterns.

A collection embedded in culture, beauty and fine jewellery

Bringing all of this back home, cherished especially in the malabar, this craftmanship along with regional favourites such as elakka thaali, jimikki and others, give life to Hoori.
